Placement of Skilled Workers Abroad
Sixteen workers were trained and provided placement with PAL Group of Companies, UAE. This group runs a 10,000 strong labour camp. All expenses were met thru contributions by members. Our cooperation with PAL Group is now a permanent feature.
Cooperation with NFRD (National Foundation for Recourse Development)
NFRD (National Foundation for Recourse Development) is an affiliated organization of Pakistan Army Housing Directorate. FTEHRD provided it assistance by way of following studies / feasibilities. This helped the cause of technical education in great deal.

Main objective of NFRD OVERSEAS CELL was to enhance employment opportunities abroad for Pakistani workers by promoting trend for Demand Specific training, rather than generalized ONE... Specific fields recommended were:
- Development of a non-binding multilateral framework for a rights-based approach to labor migration, taking account of labor market needs and sovereignty of States;
- Wider application of international labor standards and other relevant instruments;
- How to build Support for implementation of Our Global Employment Agenda at the national level;
- Upholding social protection for migrant workers;
- Providing capacity-building, raising awareness about technical assistance available worldwide.
- Strengthening social dialogue;
- Improving the information and knowledge base on global trends in labor migration;
- Participation in relevant international initiatives on migration.
- Interaction with commercial attaches of foreign embassies.
- Maintenance of liaison with foreign governments in matters of recruitment of Pakistanis in various categories.
- Re-engineer and consolidate the existing technical education and training system under one management structure.
- Proposed changes in the existing training legislations.
- Develop and offer Need Based Short Courses in the sector of new technologies to the Industry and also to offer services for solutions regarding associated production problems.
- Set up regular Monitoring/Evaluation & Feedback system for the vocational training and teaching education to respond efficiently to the existing and changing demand of the economy
